Honest notes on format support
PDFs get processed page by page
A scanned PDF is really a stack of images wearing a document coat. The converter takes it apart, reads each page, and returns the text in order. A PDF with text you can already select and copy doesn't need OCR — but it'll go through the same pipeline anyway without complaint.
Some formats preview as a placeholder
RAW files, HEIC photos, and layered PSDs can't be shown by every browser. In those cases the queue shows the file's extension badge instead of a thumbnail. The conversion still runs normally — the preview is a browser limitation, not a support gap.
20 MB per file, 10 files per batch
That covers a multi-page PDF or a high-resolution camera RAW without a problem. If a file is over the limit, it's skipped and the queue tells you why.
The format matters less than the image
A sharp JPG converts better than a blurry TIFF, every time. Resolution, lighting, and how flat the page lies matter more than the file extension. The accuracy article goes through the fixes that actually change the result.
